This family session was done at the beginning of the month, just before Hurricane Isaias came through the area. I’ve known this family for forever, and I was super excited to take their photos while they visited Sunset Beach. Sunset is less than an hour from Myrtle Beach and it was well worth the trip up there to see them and do this session. We got some beautiful photos, and fortunately we took them before the storm came! I don’t think anyone thought the storm would be “that bad,” but this family’s vehicle was flooded and had to be totaled. The beach house they were staying in flooded some downstairs. Fortunately they were upstairs and were all safe! The dunes were also heavily damaged. Again though, they were all safe and that’s what really matters! These are my favorite photos from the session.
